how do i restore software registries in windows xp professional?

I was just forced to re-install Xp professional, and after i finished installation all of my software registries are gone. the programs are still installed on the hard drives but i cant use some of them, and none of them are in the start menu or add/delete programs list. can i restore my programs without re-installing all of them

sorry , you have to reinstall all of them,unless you made a backup of the registry before the reinstall.
next time do a repair of windows, it will fix it and not bother anything else, great feature
