Depends on what version of Outlook you have. With my Outlook Express, you click on Tools, then Request a Read Receipt. You have to do it before you send the email though.

The following service works for many e-mail clients and not just Outlook. Surf over to http://www.havetheyreadityet.com/. This tool adds an embedded object into your e-mail which is invisible to the receipent. When the message is open, the object signals the sender that the message has been opened. Use this tool wisely and ethically.

Outlook 2003
In the message, click Options.

Under Voting and tracking options, select the Request a delivery receipt for this message or the Request a read receipt for this message check box.

Keep in mind that they don't have to accept it.

Go to options "receipts" and check the box where it says "request a receipt" when sending email.

This is in outlook, but I think yahoo has it, too.

Good Luck
