Some people have some serious problems that they have no idea how to handle.

This is a serious problem in todays society and i really do think that if anyone can physically do this to another human being especially another child then they have a serious illness. If people have mental problems then they need to be able to come forward and get help before it's too late but again i think this is all to do with the way we are ment to uphold this fantastic image 100% off the time. It's ok to be weak and it's definately fine to ask for help...

They believe that by punishing their child in that way, he or she will learn to grow up into an honest, respectable adult. They also believe it will be a way for them to respect their elders. Sort of an "I hit you because I love you" sort of thing.
It's complete bullsh*t, of course. Abused children become abusers themselves and often have temper issues. Some end up sending their children to the hospital, or even killing them. The parents who do these things may rationalize their behavior, but there is really no excuse for it. No child should ever have to go through that. No child should be beaten. Ever.

100% demonic and evil. That's the only answer that makes any kind of sense when it comes to harming a precious child.

Some people have anger issues and take it all out on their kids.Most parent in the u.s beat there kids more now cause they feel thats the only way they will listen

i don't have any children, but i ask myself that same damn question everytime i look at my baby brother and my niece and nephew. how could they be so cold hearted to do the worse things that come in mind, when there are so many women out there who can't have babies and yearn so much to have one of their own, i say we torture those kind of people. these babies are innocent, small, defenseless creatures that can't do anything for themselves. they should pass on the rules of moses on those criminals, "an eye for an, a tooth for a tooth"
