It is insane! I am happy to hear that Bush finally did something good. He said he was making it a requirement for people who want to come in this country, to learn English! That is the best news I have heard in a long time!! I am sick of people who do not speak English, and who are too damn lazy to learn!

Hispanics becoming the majority population will not be only because of immigration. Americans are making less babies these days.
Closing the boarders is not as easy as people think/believe. It will take TIME to get everything is place and we must do something with those who are already here.
These politicans talk a good game and get on television with that mess but how much of it will be backed up 5, 10, 15 years down the road?
I'm not worried about America turning in to Amexica but of course once I save the money I'm out of here!!!

Sort of.
I think people who live in (US of)America should be US citizens. They can become citizens and pay taxes like the rest of us, or go back to their own country. No. Shouldn't buy Mexico. Market rate would be really low for that place! We should close our borders to illegal immigrants. I think Mexicans reproduce too many too soon also. Maybe educate them to have fewer children.

I think the mexicans should be arrested by the police if they're sneaking into the country illegally, and the mexicans aren't going to be the majority population, when this country was founded it was named America and it's going to stay America, and I grew up knowing that there are 50 states and I'd like to stay that way.

Not if our great Minutemen have anything to do with it. Instead of whining about the problem why not help them out? Consider it a "National Community Watch Program". I am a proud supporter. Join me!
No we don't need Mexico and all the problems that come along with it. We should close ALL borders now until we can come up with a solution that will actually work.

CLOSE THE BORDERRRRR....
the main reason that mexicans come here is during summer for migrant work. There is no reason why the US could no just permit them to come say 3 months out of the year and work, make good money, and go back to mexico. The border needs to be more strict.

no, i think america is about to turn into the most liberal, free and open society on earth, all due to the extreme radical conservatives who pushed too far during bush's term. we will go to the exact opposite extreme, which will not be a good thing, and likely will have no control over borders and problems with keeping track of citizens. speaking spanish or exposure to another culture will not be the problems we worry about. it will be that every single conservative idea has been thrown out with the bath water

Don't believe all the crap that you read in the news or see on TV. It's an estimate from someone with an agenda.
If it turns out to be true the only thing you can do is accept it and learn to speak the language.

All hispanics do not come from Mexico! If we close borders, they have to be closed for all immigrants.

How about allowing them to vote to become a state ? 90% of the people living in border towns want to be here any way , so why not give them our freedoms and let them pay taxes as citizens .

Meximerica? Amexica? What?
Not all hispanics are from Mexico. Even some people that you think are from Mexico, aren't from Mexico. Some are from Guatemala, Peurto Rico, etc.
whats your point
