What prevent a guy from talking to a goodlooking girl?

Other than maybe a wall between them? Heh, I dunno, I never had much trouble talking with girls, it's asking them out that made me nervous. This nervousness came, however, from a feeling that I am not worth the girl's time. I notice everything about myself, especially the bad things. I know what I do, what I think, etc. I can lean really close in the mirror to check my complexion, even though I'd probably never be that close to almost anyone. I can stare at myself, but no one else will be staring at me. I notice what needs improvement, understand? However, when I look at a hot girl, I see a hot girl, which is probably not how that girl sees herself but whatever. So, hot girl, and not so hot me. Right now, I'd be thinking, "why bother, she's hot and you, my friend, are not, don't embarrass yourself, she's just gonna blow you off anyway", etc. So, self-consciousness combined with a tendency to focus on our own faults instead of good points can discourage us from talking to good-looking girls. Someone who is oblivious to their faults or someone who instead is taught from a young age that they're absolutely awesome will have no problem with girls, but by the time we're teens our personalities are mostly set, and by the time we're adults we've got virtually no chance to change even a little bit. Guys, you can officially blame your parents.

Guys in general are animals.. they think with their balls, what stops them from talking to a woman sometimes is the fact that they are humans and have a thing called self esteam and that is effected by many variables im not going into.

Absolutely nothing.... hey if you are attracted to her, just talk to her..... I was always the shy girl, that guys always want to talk to me, and we would be at a bar, and the guys friend came and talked to me to break the ice.... that is tacky... just do it, what do you really have to loose?
