Use olive oil soap. People say that it is bad to use soap on your hair, but in fact it is the best way to help your hair. Wash your hair 3 time with the soap, and then use shampoo 2 times. The second time, leave the shampoo on while washing your body. Afterward, wash out all the shampoo. Give it at least 6 months and you will see a reduction in split ends.
Don't brush hair when it's wet, because that's when it is at its most vulnerable.
Cool it on the heat styling tricks. That means cut down on hair dryers, straightening irons, crimpers, curling irons and hot curlers. Buy a natural-bristle brush that won't pull on hair and ultimately break it off, thereby causing a possible split end.

The only cure for split ends is a trim every six weeks. BUT there are ways to prevent them from the start:
1. Don't brush hair when it's wet.
2. Don't use hair dryers to dry your hair after a shower. The best way is to let it dry naturally.
3. Don't use too much straightening irons, crimpers, curling irons and hot curlers.
4. Use a brush with wide-set teeth.
5. Wear a hat during sunny days to protect your hair. Use shampoo that indicates that it acts as a sunscreen.
6. Use conditioner.
7. Always use coated rubber bands to tie your hair.
8. Drink lots of water.
Hope that helps.

use alot of conditioner. put leave on conditioner in your hair and use hair serum, put more on the split ends. Use a hot oil treatment. And if you dont already use a good shampoo and conditioner then start. The best ones are from Paul Mitchell and Nexxus.

trim them off first....then use a good conitioner like tresseme..then once a week and only one the ends,,rub mineral oil and leave on overnite.try not to blow dry the ends because there's no oil in the hair shafts at the ends. the further away from the scalp,,the dryer the hair is.

I have found that skipping a day to wash and limiting blow drying helps prevent them but only a haircut gets rid of them.

Trim them regularly. If you don't they'll split further up and eventually break off.
