I need to do a manual software audit and need to know how I can diferentiate between Office 2000 standard and professional!

The version only relates to the updates you have put on it (ie, SP-2 update, SP-3 update). I have already checked that as these are the numbers that i have.

okay. i should have mentioned that the software is already installed and i need to find the difference after installation.

go to help, about, in any of the programs, and it wil tell you the version

i can tell the version most of the time, yet each and every so often i can not. I spent the 1st season of residing house thinking Chase became English, while in fact he's an Aussie. I unquestionably have an fairly complicated time distinguishing the version between Australian and New Zealand accents.
