I'd feed them canned cat food. I brought mine home at 3 weeks old (abandoned by their mother or their human parents...found on the side of the road) they were turned over to my vet at about 2 weeks old. She was bottle feeding my little girl and the boy was eating canned IAMS from the beginning. They both ate the moist food for a while, but I did offer dry food, as I'm not home a lot and I didn't want to leave too much moist food out to go bad. The boy started eating dry food shortly after I brought them home. The little girl took a little longer. I try not to feed them people food though. They both got out in the trailer park we used to live in and I lured them back in with a can of tuna, and the girl almost took my arm off with her back claws! (front claws don't exist in my house)

Why not theres nothing wrong with it. And if the kitten wants it try giving him or her a taste. But dont make it a habit of feeding it to him all the time. They may not want to eat regular cat food. Good luck on whatever you choose.

no, there's a reason why they have kitten food especially for kittens. Tuna really isn't that great for a cat's diet, it has lots of fatty acids and will harm their health in the long run.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make kittens eat tuna;)

My cat Romeo was extremely allergic to tuna. He would break out in "feline acne" all over the underside of his chin. Then the hair would fall out. It was pretty gross. He would even have a break out if there was tuna in his dry food.

Only as a treat. They need to eat kitten food (dry and/or canned) for the most part til they're a year old.

Yes,a couple of times a week is OK as long as you give cats variety in their diet & not the same things all the time.Fresh meat as well as a good quality product of can food & dry food is always recommended.Variety is the spice of life for cats too

No. No cats should be fed tuna that is intended for human consumption. Aside from the mercury levels it is too high in salt for cats.

My two month old kittens have no problems with it. In fact they smelled it and DEMANDED it. The male, Boogers, even raids the dog's dry food. Yes, the pieces are too large, but this little guy chews and gnaws at them until he can eat it.
