Nature of the animal is such, that having invested much time, energy and money we have begun the process of digging our grave. When we stated digging we thought it to provide us with firm grounding upon which we are to tame the animal. With the tides of time, with many a sand storms, now we become of the land. And so must we be burried there.

We must accept that war may end but We are going to be involved in the middle east in an active way for a very long time.

I have always believed that we should get our people out of that region at the exact point that crime in Iraq and everyday crime in America were relatively comparable. Clearly that point has already passed. Ideally at that point Iraqi citizens can do the residual "clean-up" of their own country. Also, American fathers, brothers, sisters, and mothers in the Military are needed back in the US for our own individual familys' stabilities. I, therefore, say we need to get our people home ASAP.

War is bad but it is the price our country paid for freedom. We will leave iraq when the job is finished so 2300 soldiers didn't die for nothing

It really wouldn't surprise me if we were there until the next president is elected. LBJ left it to Nixon to clean up the Vietnam mess; looks like Bush will leave it to the next guy to clean up Iraq.

We will not get out until Bush leaves the White House. There will be widespread civil war and he does not want the blame he will leave to the new President thinkiing he won't be blamed.

I will be amazed if we are out 100% in 25 years.

Most troops will pull out but we will have a military presence (several thousand) for a long long time.

Ergo Korea, Germany, etc
