I got a haircut 2 weeks ago. I specifically asked for the same cut I had, but about 1/2 shorter. I ended up with a haircut that looks nothing like what I had before and I hate it. The cut is looks like the short bob that little girls get and I'm 36!

How do I go back and ask them to fix it? Should I just go somewhere else?

I meant to say a 1/2 INCH shorter.

DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT WHERE YOU HAD IT DONE.......you paid good money for them to cut it now they should stand behind what they do and fix it for you!! For free!!

I have had my hair chemically straightened and coloured before and I hated it so I went back to complain b/c it was not what I had asked for, and they fixed it. If they want you to be a repeat client they will fix it!!! If not take it to the better business bureau and lodge a compliant.

Hope it all works out!! :)

Really the decision is yours.

But I will give you some advice about going back to them and having them fix it. Be honest with your hairdresser. First talk to her before getting back in her chair. Tell her that when you came to get your haircut a couple weeks ago, you expected and thought that you'd clearly explained you wanted the same cut, but just a couple inches shorter. Tell her that what you have now is not what you expected to get from your request. Tell her that although it's a cute cut, it's not flattering on you. Then ask her if she would be willing to and can she give you the cut you had BEFORE but a bit shorter as you'd requested on the last visit. You may need to bring a picture or be prepared to explain in detail to remind her of how your hair was before. idea to pull her aside or outside away from co-workers and other clients to discuss this.

If she gets an attitude, then DO NOT get back in her chair. Take your business elsewhere for sure.

Thank her for her time, and then walk away.

2 weeks is a bit long to wait, but, you should have gone right back to the salon, and explained, that this haircut was not what you asked for. Next time go somewhere else, and if you're not satisfied with the haircut, go back the next day, and explain to the salon owner, that you asked for a particular haircut, and received a different haircut. A haircut is a product, that a salon provides, if you are unhappy with a product you bought, you return it, a haircut is no different.

I went and got mine cut a week ago. My hair was just below my shoulders, and I told the girl that I wanted it "shoulder length". She went a little scissor happy. I got home and ball-ed for 3 hours. There is no way that it could be fixed, so I just have to live with it and let it grow back out. (sigh)...The place where I work at does not have any air conditioning on the production area, so in a sense its a good thing, but I still can't stand the way it looks. But I've been getting alot of complements (but they don't have to live with it).

How do u go back to the SAME salon? u don't -- if ur not satisfied then they lose your business. Go somewhere else and get recommendations first; from your friends, relatives, or even someone walking past you who has a great haircut. You'd be suprised how many amazing salons there are and all they'll need to do is check your face shape.
Good luck!

You probably should have said something as soon as you got the cut and saw you didn't like it. If they're a reputable salon, you should be able to go back to them and tell them you aren't happy with the cut, and they should do the one you want for free.

That said, they might be asses, and you may be better off going somewhere else.

I'd go somewhere else and never ever go back
I have a feeling you and me are going to the same place because these people just can't get it right
Question for you
How do you get them to fix it if it's already to short?

I actually had this happen to me. I wanted to get my hair dyed platinum blonde like Gwen Steffani, and trim my hair like Pinks was. Anyways, the lady did a horrible job. I ended up chopping my own hair off trying to fix it. I ended up going to another salon and they fixed it for me even better. I also stopped payment on my credit card for the first salons mistake. I would get your money back, or go to the salon where they butchered your hair and make them fix it for free.

I would just go to another salon because the salon that you went to dosent seem to do a good job, so why go back? Try to find a salon that gets alot of positive feed back.

Lol, well if they screwed up the first time then it's best to stay away from there a second time. Just go somewhere else and explain what happened and see if they can do anything to fix it. Good luck. ♥
