My daughter has the same name. The reason I gave her the name was that her mother really liked Julia Roberts and still does. Julia plays a character named Shelby in Fried Green Tomatoes. We didn't want her to have a family name. Don't know if it means anything though.
Sorry, but it has no meaning. It must be from another name or word like Sheila or Selby. The latter meaning "tree farm" and the first meaning "blind".
