I believe that Pornography is a Sin in that it is degrading to all people. Masterbation on the other hand if not used to punish the wife or commit adultery or fornication can be used in useful means when separated from your spouse.

Good Luck and God Bless!!

Anything you put between you and God is a sin - James 4:17 tells us that"therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin." I used to not think of masturbation as a sin, until I worked with disturbed teenage boys and began to realize what they mentally have to conjure up in order to perform such and act and then I began to see it as an idol between them and a relationship between God - it also was leading many into porn addictions and into deviant behaviors within public domains. I'm sure if you ask God in sincerity of heart and spirit He will give you a truthful answer.

from a biblical perspective watching porn is inciting lustful thoughts and therefore is opening the door deliberately to sin

Jesus said that 'whoever even LOOKS as a woman with lustfully has already committed adultery in his heart'

therefore the sin isn't in the actions as much as in the heart beforehand

masturbation of itself isn't named as a sin in the bible (onanism isn't this action however) but see the above for additional discussion pointers

And self abuse does a number of bad things to you.
It makes you stupid..........
It trains your body to not be able to control, and destroys your normal ability to perform. (MArried life will be ruined)
Porn sires are where many nasty viruses come from , so it will cost you money to get your computer fixed.

Engaging in pornography gives birth to lust which definitely IS a sin. Also it can skew your mind and cause you to engage in acts which you have seen and become accustomed to that may be frowned upon or even illegal. It can also skew your perception of sex.
