My Persian had babies (2) Sunday night. I caught her in the act with my male about a month ago. Someone said that she could have more babies developing in her belly as a result of the 2nd time she was with my male.

Is this true?

Go and get an x-ray, or at least have the vet palpate her. If one is stillin there, it is dead and she can have a bad infection. They do not have 2 seperate litters. All kittens should come out when she goes into labor. Some may have been concieved later, but they should be born at the same time.

Horse girl should call Ripley's, because it is NOT possiable!!!!!
They can get pregnant while nursing a litter and have another litter soon after weaning the first, and a cat can have a litter with more than 1 father, but they are all born at one time.

It is not possible. In order for a cat to get pregnant, she has to be in heat. When a cat is pregnant, it doesn't go into heat. The only possible way that a cat can conceive in two different times is if she is in with a male for the week that she is in heat (this is what happens in planned breedings) and she conceives on two of the days in the week during one heat.
