Adam, the first man, could have lived forever (Genesis 3:20). But he sinned by disobeying God and brought death upon himself and all humankind.
However, God created Adam perfect, so Adam didn't have the harmful health problems we have today (mutant genes, illnesses, and so on.).
In fact, all the early people lived long lives, with Methuselah living even longer than Adam (969 years).
Life spans gradually decreased as more illnesses and mutations accumulated, until they reached today's average of about 70 years.
Another reason for such good health at that time may have been that the whole world's temperature seems to have been sub-tropical to temperate. There is evidence of this because even under the ice in Antarctica and Alaska lush forests and warm-climate trees are known to have once grown.
Adam's 930 years were real years, not just months as some suggest. If they were months, then Mahalaleel, who in Genesis 5:15 had his first son at 65 years, and Enoch, who became the father of Methuselah also at 65 years (Genesis 5:21), would have been fathers when they were only five years old!

Gen.7:6; Noah born 1056 was age 600 when the flood came and he lived another 350 years, he died 2 years before Abraham was born. The bible is clear on all this math.

I don't know specificly how old Adam was but God said Adam and Eve would endure a hardlife until they were very very old. So, maybe 1000 years old. Remember, at that time, people lived longer...much longer.
Noah started building the Ark when he was 600 years old and died when he was 950 years old. Give me the points now...LOL

Adam was cast out of Eden into an unsubdued earth that was cursed to produce thorns and thistles, there to sweat out an existence, harvesting the bitter fruits of his sin. Outside the garden, awaiting death, Adam fathered sons and daughters, the names of only three being preserved—Cain, Abel, and Seth. To all of his children Adam passed on hereditary sin and death, since he himself was sinful.—Ge 3:23; 4:1, 2, 25.
After sinner Adam’s expulsion from Eden he lived to see the murder of his own son, banishment of his killer-son, abuse of the marriage arrangement, and profanation of Jehovah’s sacred name. He witnessed the building of a city, the development of musical instruments, and the forging of tools out of iron and copper. He watched and was condemned by the example of Enoch, “the seventh one in line from Adam,” one who “kept walking with the true God.” He even lived to see Noah’s father Lamech of the ninth generation. Finally, after 930 years, most of which was spent in the slow process of dying, Adam returned to the ground from which he was taken.
The deluge came within the sixth hundredth year of Noah’s life and continued into his six hundred and first year of life. (Genesis 7:11; 8:13; 7:6) The world catastrophe that occurred in Noah’s day foreshadowed the larger world catastrophe that is shortly to occur within our generation.
Gen. 7:11 " In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on this day all the springs of the vast watery deep were broken open and the floodgates of the heavens were opened."
Gen. 8:13 " Now in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, on the first day of the month, it came about that the waters had drained from off the earth; and Noah proceeded to remove the covering of the ark and to look, and here the surface of the ground had drained dry."
Gen. 7:6 "And Noah was six hundred years old when the deluge of waters occurred on the earth."

The bible would not say. In Luke 9:26, Jesus reported, "No guy, having placed his hand to the plough, and searching decrease back, is in effective condition for the dominion of God." i have not farmed, yet I have mowed some lawns, and also you'll't do it with assistance from searching decrease back the position you've been. yet i'd favor to imagine her blunders wasn't an eternal existence sentence...only a risky one. in truth, i wish God has a decrease back-up plan to the full-hell problem. actual, if there's a God, not some thing isn't achievable for him/her. perhaps s/he can keep us regardless of our failure to look ahead.

God told Adam he would die the day he ate the forbidden fruit. I don't know how old Adam was when he ate the fruit, but he didn't live past one more day.
