Ok so I exercise and diet 5 days a week. The other 2 days I usually continue to eat well, however I'm known to put down a few drinks on the weekends (extra calories). So which would be most effective for dropping a few pounds, exercising (cardio) during the week as I've been doing now? Or should I switch it so I'm doing cardio on the days I take on extra calories? A little damage control if you will. Let me know what you think, and exercising 7 days a week and not drinking are not options right now. All work and no play makes me CRAZY

if you're going to drink, i'd suggest doing it on days after you workout. however, don't drink right after you workout....give your body healthy foods or a protein shake to recover. exercising boosts your metabolism so it should help burn off those extra calories.

The day does not matter. Do resistance training to get a faster metabolism. Say 2 people are the same exact weight. One has 90 pounds of muscle and the latter has 110 pounds of muscle. The latter burns 800 calories a day more than the former daily.

An added pound of muscle burns an extra 40 calories per day. 20x 40=800.

STOP drinking.......Too many calories, plus alcohol REALLY SLOWS your metabolism WAY down.

Don't know how old you are, but considering the way you write and WHAT you write about....sounds to me your somewhere between 23 and 41.

Your routine is WAY off, do a little cardio EACH day or just every other day. As far as your dieting, not sure what you eat, sounds like you may be a binger.

You already know about the alcohol.

Just Change your routine....a little cardio each day, normal healthy foods each day (best if you eat 6 tiny meals), Cut the Alcohol binging thing out .....You WILL turn out to look like a REAL HAG, Used UP Party Girl......WAY before your time....

Count out your calories. No more than 1200 a day and you will see results. If you want to drink fit the calories into your day. Stay away from bottle drinks. Drink red wine at 100 cals a glass or soda and vodka 50 cals.

Drink dry wine with soda water. I've lost 60lbs since January with no exercise. I'm with Sureslim in Australia and exercise is not recommended as it is not effective at fat burning it only burns glycogen in muscles. I am on a strict eating regime but I go to the pub every day. Jules Australia.

I think you should lighten up on yourself. However, if you are "exercising and dieting 5 days/week" and still not at your desired weight, you should probably switch to another regime. HAVE SOME FUN! Do something different. Change you schedule. Eg. run on the beach, rock climb, cycle, spend time with others who "fill you up" emotionally. Live instead of trying to reach this ideal body image.
