you just gotta try them all out. you will feel it, you will know whats right. but word of caution. i was Lutheran and church just never interested me, I was bored and I started questioning my faith so I tried other religions like Paganism, Buddhism, Hinduism and a few others and it wasnt until I went to The Vineyard and Crossroads church that i relaized Christianity was were I belonged. You may just have to try different churches until you find the right one and when you do, you wil know. You will feel it in your heart, you will feel moved. I go to an awsome non denominational church now that I moved to Ohio and I KNOW i love God and this is where I should be :) good luck!

Maybe you should just skip religion. It's supposed to be a spirtual thing, not like picking out the best apples at the store. Maybe the questions your having about religion are actually the answer you're looking for. Maybe religion of all kind is essentially wrong, I mean incorrect. For the most part religious teachings can be a great thing as far as how to be a good person is invloved. But really, the bible is full of lies and vishnu is never going to be real no matter how many people believe in it. If you're asking a question like that on here you really are the perfcect candidate for religion. Obedient, willing to believe what people tell you, not thinking for yourself and just going with what ever is popular and makes you feel secure. THAT'S religion!

One answer I have not read yet is honest heartfelt prayer. Get on your knees and ask God which religion is right for you. Then do not have a closed heart when someone from a religion approaches you. It may be a religion you might never have considered before, but God will lead you to where He wants you if you are honest with Him.

I would take this opportunity to point out that Jesus, the Son of God, is the only way to eternal life.

John 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

For nobody is righteous, not even one. -Romans 3:10

We are all sinners and we are bound for negative consequences for our sinful actions at the hand of God's fair and just judgment. This is the bad news.

The good news is that God so loved the world He sent His only begotten Son (begotten, that is, just as man begets man, God begets God) as a sacrifice upon the cross to put an end to all the sacrifices of animals, because the Lamb of God (Jesus Christ) is the perfect sacrifice, for those animal sacrifices are but imperfect, temporary sacrifices.

It is in Jesus Christ, who indeed was crucified and was resurrected on the third day, that we have eternal salvation, so that we may live in joy for eternity, forever and ever!

All of us who answer deep down are basically saying " Pick Mine!", myself included. Some people have said look at your values and then pick a religion based on it. I have to disagree what you need to do is look for the truth. Remember to seek the TRUTH and not what is concienent or popular. Say a prayer that you are led to what is true ( and mean it) and begin to look for what is true.

"God you are truth, help me to find what is true way. Guide me as I search for you. Amen"

Personally I am a Christian so I recomend reading the Bible. There are countless strories of people who wanted to know what religion to follow and how to do it. Below is a story of a man in the same situation and what his conclusion was. His name is Doug Batchelor.

I know God will guide you in search.

You don't pick a religion by choosing which one is right for you. You follow absolute truth. Read the Holy Bible. Have a nice day!!! =)

don't pick any religion at all. just be a Christian. which means you are "in christ" read the bible and have faith in it. know the truth of the bible. find a church home that is non denominational and studies and teaches what the bible says only. you cant go wrong. if the bible wasn't real then why would everything the bible says be for the good?

I can't think of anything more effective than simply asking some believers what they believe, how they believe it, and why they believe what they do. If the what, how, and why make sense to you, go for it. If not, look elsewhere. If you're not sure, look elsewhere but keep that particular faith in mind. In your heart you already know what's right and true, at least for you and at most for everyone; all you have to do is to listen to it when you see or hear the truth around you.

You don't. You choose life.

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the LIFE. No man comes to the Father but by me." John 14:6

You can pick from the vast array of religions, but you will not find the answer in any of them.

Jesus Christ is the answer.

"...I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: there fore CHOOSE LIFE..." Deuteronomy 30:19
