I absolutely swear by Paul Mitchell Super Skinny shampoo conditioner and serum. It speeds up the drying time of your hair by 30%. I actually timed this to verify it one morning. Blow drying can damage your hair and make straight styles have fly-away frizzies. But the serum makes hair slick and you can still even use rollers or irons to flatten or add body if you want. A little goes a long way too, look for the special packaging that give free serum with purchase of shampoo. I found mine at the hair salon inside a Super WalMart.

many shampoo manufacturers have shampoos and conditioners for straight and sleek hair, these do help. also if your talking about using a straightning iron to straighten, use a heat-protective spray before using the straightners, it will help protect your hair from the heat damage that straightners give out. pantene also have a very good straightning product that works wonders

Well I don't know if this answers your question, but I have curly hair and whenever I use Tigi Bedhead's Control freak shampoo, conditioner, and serum, it's easier to straighten.
