lol what are these people talking about....your body NEEDS to workout or else it gets sore?? that's ridiculous!
it could just be your body hasn't repaired your muscles yet...possibly because you are not getting enough protein/nutrients.
are your workouts typically the same? if you're body is not used to the workout, it can take awhile to recover.
anyways, sore muscles..especially for a week...are typically damaged muscles. you should definitely let the soreness go away before you work out again.

You probably didn't stretch your muscles enough if you did at all. If you have not exercised in awhile your body gets used to inactivity and once you start again you are putting a lot of stress on them. Before you exercise make sure to stretch and do some warm ups. It'll help for sure.

Your body is used to working out, and you have not been. It's just like if you started to work out without working out alot recently. You get sore.
