Beagles! They are small and very friendly. I love my Beagle. She's pretty relaxed compared to most of the hyper labs i have seen.

I have had both (lab now, beagle before.) I much prefer the lab. She has been easier to train, and gets under foot a lot less! The beagle (jack russel mix) was way dense! I couldn't train him to do anything cool at all! My lab responds to sign language! That's cool!

Well of the two I prefer Labs. I don't like my cousins Beagle but love my parents lab.

Labs. Yes.
Beagles? NO! Beagles are very sweet with kids, but unless you're training them to hunt rabbits, you are very nearly wasting your time. They have powerful tracking instincts which nearly guarantee that they will try to run away every time you open the door. You can get them to sit and do tricks for treats, but you will almost NEVER see a beagle in an obedience competition. And they will dig, bark and howl endlessly if left alone.

absolutely labs, the sweetest dogs there are for sure. and they make good watch dogs too. (beagles howl)

labs there so sweet and loyal and gentle.i never have had a beagle but i know they can b really hyper and wild but there cute too.
