Hi I've had a cat for about a year now. Whenever I get ready for work or he thinks I'm going somewhere, he starts to go nuts biting and scratching my legs arms etc. I know he's nerved out about me leaving but it's becoming a real problem. I'm bleeding every day lol. Any way to curb this behavior

Animals just like people suffer with some form or forms of seperation anxiety some times in their lives. It would appear that that is what your cat has. Prior to leaving to go to work etc., play with him and pet him and pay close attention to him. Some cats believe it or not are soothed by a radio (battery operated) playing soft music. It provides them with "company" while you are gone. These are some tricks I picked up over the years with my own cats. When you return home, play with him some more and pay more attention to him and maybe give him a cat treat or something each time you come home and you see him behaving better. Over time he will become accustomed to your comings and goings and will be okay with everything. Good luck! Cats are precious to human cat lovers and can provide us with love and affection for many years.

I can help you baby.. I've got two cat's and they lay on my purse every time they think I'm going. I started to show them more love everyday and quit playing with them.. After three weeks of showing them nice tender type love and not playing rough with him. He or she will get it and deal with your departure. Really I don't know whats really going to work.

Maybe you could get another cat to keep it company while you are gone. Then it wouldn't get so lonesome.
