I've seen it in supermarkets here in Pennsylvania, and have always wondered. Do you spread it on toast for breakfast? Do you ice donuts with it. Do you do other things with it? What is up with lemon curd? Ohhh....and why is it callled that?

You can use it to dress up pound cake or on top of a cheese cake.

A real simple thing to do with lemon curd is to buy frozen phyllo cups (little tart cups already formed and baked out of puff pastry.) Spoon in a dab of lemon curd, then top with whipped cream. It's a teeny, tiny lemon pie! And, yeah, you can spread it on toast the way you would spread jam or marmalade.

I love lemon curd!!

My favourite way to eat it is in a cake!! Cream makes it even better!!! But I usually eat it on toast (without butter) because it's more convenient!

I think it might be called 'curd' because the mixture will curdle when you're cooking it if you do it wrong!?!!

Excellent stuff! Yes, have it on toast or crackers. And on donuts. You could also use it as a pie filling. It's made up of butter, eggs, sugar and lemon. It goes through a process where the lemon really curdles the butter and eggs. Have you tried them?

My fav is between the layers of a white cake, frosted with sweetened whipped cream, or wpread on top of a sheet cake then top with the whipped cream.

Use it as you would Jam, Marmalade or Fruit Jellies. You're only limited by your imagination. Enjoy.
