I don't think the illegals are to blame for our bad economy. This country has lots of laws that makes us a good target for leeches.

Like for example the law that says hospitals shouldn't turn away anybody who needs treatment or medical procedures. People from all over the world come to America to have expensive surgeries and don't pay a thing. We have no way of making them pay because after the procedure they just fly back home. Who ends up paying the bill? We do. Taxpayers and insurance money.

Those countries that America has been in war with before, we help those people too, let them in here and give them money and benefits to start with. They also have special housing. I know a lot of them.
I have a friend who manages an apartment and she's got a lot of people from another country on the list of those who can benefit of just paying $600/mo for an apartment priced $3,000 for the rest. They were even bragging that the US government would pay them $500/mo per child if they go back to their country, give birth and raise their children there. Where would the US government get the funds then? Who let them in here in the first place and gave them Visas? Our country did. Illegals can't do that here because they wouldn't have the right to do it and they wouldn't have benefits these people does.
There's a lot of things going on in our country that politicians don't change. They only think about their pockets. Election comes and they promise things but never delivers.

We created our bad economy because we just didn't care enough to voice out.

I do not believe that they are the main cause but definitely part of it. Illegal immigrants take jobs away from us and companies pay them low wages under the table because they can. By doing this, it takes jobs away from the true legal Americans. The illegals also do not pay taxes to this country but get health care and other stuff handed to them for free. This country as a whole has done nothing to keep jobs here in the country but yet lets them continue to go overseas. We have a president who cares more about a war that we do not belong in than getting this country, which he is suppose to oversee, back up and running and being the major player we once were. The USA which was once the most prosperous nation in the world has fallen way under the Europe side of the world. Do the illegals need to go- absolutely!! Do this country need to shut it borders off-- yes until we get our own backyard in order....

Bad economy? Not necessarily. Not even likely. illegals have very little impact on the economy as a whole one way or the other.

The problems that occur as a result of their presence are overcrowded schools, hospitals and emergency rooms shutting down, huge gang problems, etc. All of this is occurring in areas where there is a dense population of persons who are here without permission. I don't blame Latinos in general for anything. The topic here is "ILLEGAL." Get it?

No way. Often they are doing jobs that we don't want at pay levels we wouldn't accept. Then while I'm sure some money is sent back to their native countries to support their families, other money is spent here on gas, food, clothes, housing.

Everyone wants to blame blame blame. This isn't the group to blame for anything but wanting to live the american dream and not having the patience, understanding, or resources to go through the expensive and complex task of coming here legally.

NO I BELIEVE IT IS SOLELY CREATED BY OUR GOVT THAT IS ALLOWING THIS TO GO ON FOR TOO LONG. THE GOVT HAS MADE ALOT OF BAD DECISIONS. BUT ILLEGAL ALIENS,NOT JUST MEXICANS, ARE ROBBING US OF JOBS BECAUSE THEY WILL WORK CHEAP!!!THERE IS MORE COMPLEXITY TO OUR ECONOMY BEING POOR AND I THINK THAT IS BASED SOLELY ON DECISIONS THE GOVT HAS MADE!!!

AND I DO NOT BELIEVE PEOPLE SHOULD COLLECT SSI BENEFITS BECAUSE THEY HAVE AN ADDICTION TO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS. I DON'T BELIEVE THEY SHOULD COLLECT SSI IF THEY ARE BI-POLAR EITHER.
