I use my crock pot at least three times a week. I cook things in it that I would normally cook, even chops and ribs. I just season the same way I would have if I wasn't using the crock pot and put everything in at the same time. If I knew what kind of food you liked I'd put some recipes on here. I will put a great crock pot website though! One thing I really like to do is put boneless pork in, onion, garlic, carrots, potato's and quartered cored apples. For liquid I use apple juice. Then at the end of cooking take out all the veges and the pork should just fall apart. Now you can do a couple of different things. I usually eat it like that the first night and the second night make BBQ pork sandwiches with it. It's really good when you put the apples and onions on the sandwich.

Hope this helps!

I'm making a roast in it right now!

EASY SOUP
The crock pot is great for soups on a cold day. In the morning, add meat bones like beef bones, chicken pieces (or both!), veggies like carrots, celery, potatoes, and even a scoop of long grain rice, and some spices like dried oregano, basil, dill, some garlic.... Turn on the crock pot at 8 am, when you get home from work at 5:30, its ready.

Or for easy pot roast, here's my favorite, and there's no leftovers!
Good for 2 people

EASY POT ROAST
1 1/2-2 lbs of chuck roast
1 Can cream of mushroom soup, Campbells
1 packet of Lipton dried onion soup mix
2 potatoes, chopped and peeled if you wish
2 carrots, chopped and peeled if you wish
1 celery, chopped

In the crock pot add the onion soup mix, the cream of mushroom, and 2 cans of water. Mix until dissolved.
Add the meat, the veggies and mix.
Add additonal water til its barely covering the veggies.

Turn on crock pot on med/low at 8 am, by 6 pm its done.

Buy this one: Fix-It and Forget It...it is really good. The important thing with crock cooking is to make sure you do EXACTLY what they say. Also, make sure your crock is up to date and heating properly. You also want to make sure your lid is secure, not leaking. If it is, add foil under it. Alot of people said go to AllRecipes, it is a GREAT website and they were nice to tell you that. Don't give up, it takes practice, just like everything else!!!

yeah...pot roast, BBQ ribs, BBQ chicken, beef stew. If you go to the store in the gravy area there are packets for slow cookers...they are fabulous and easy. You can email me if you want some more ideas.
