I bought a plane ticket for an old friend in Michigan. She couldn't make it and cancelled the trip. Consequently, I was out $500. They said I had $500 credit. Now, my daughter wants to visit from Washington, and I've tried to get a ticket for her using some of the credit. NOW they say that only the original person, or ticket holder, can use the credit. How can I sue them, make them look bad in the press, and ultimately have their stupid dot com come crashing down around their ears?? THAT'S how angry I am.

I am surprised that they were even giving you a credit on the ticket. Even though it may be hard for you to still use this ticket, they usually won't even do this. Tickets are non-refundable with these sites, so that basically means you can't get a refund unless you have travel protection.

Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done at this point. I'm sure Travelocity has this outlined in the "fine print" and because of that they cannot be held responsible.

Always read the fare rules. Tickets from these websites are non-refundable. On top of the airlines restrictions, these websites can and do add their own locking you into the ticket. If you are talking about suing, no one would hear your case. For the $500 you spent on the ticket, it would cost you 100 times more just to have a lawyer hear you, only to tell you that it's in writing in the fare rules that you purchased. RE-READ the fare rules. Your answers lie in that section.

Travelocity is based out of the Philipines. Their English is so poor and they seem really uneducated and do not know how to talk to people. Not that I care, but the woman treated me like dirt and kept calling me by the wrong name. She kept calling me Ms. Rebecca, by my first name. I then told her to call me Dr. if she wanted to get it right. I'm sick of these uneducated people attempting to disguise the fact that they have no class or education and acting like they are something great.

I doubt if you're going to like this but, if that is the policy of travelocity there is not much you can do about it. Go to their site and read the fine print.

My daughter rented a car from priceline and didn't get the car. They said she will be credited week but the week is not up yet. We'll see.
