I have always and will always practice "random acts of kindness" and "pay it forward". When the person who I helped asks, "why" or "what can I do to repay you?" I reply, "Do something kind and helpful for another next time you see a need or opportunity."

We all should do this. Little by little, the world could be a kinder place. JUST DO IT!

I had more flowers than I needed for my parents graves. I put the remaining flowers in another vase at a grave-site near by knowing no one is placing flowers there
on that grave. it always appeared so empty and sad.

Of course! You can do them everyday! They can be minor, like when you're driving, letting someone get over when no one else will let them, or to hold the door for someone, or to compliment someone for their service, like a waiter, a salesmen, anyone...But yours...I have to agree with everyone else...I don't know if it was too kind to your neighbor...try something else next time, and hopefully your neighbor doesn't go on this...

Ah yes - this is called the Urbanite's Kindness - like where you kick a homeless guy in the nuts to stop him getting miserable about not having a roof over his head.
Trust me, in our major cities, this kind of kindness is alive and well.

I always do random acts of kindness...its only fair to treat or do things for people they way you would want to be treated. A little bit goes a long way

Giving flowers to someone was nice, but ripping them off from your neighbor wasn't -- unless you had the neighbor's permission to do so.

LOL-I hope you asked your neighbor! I try to. I do small things like put money in a parking meter or leave a book for someone to find.

That's nice of you. Hopefully she didn't mind you picking her flowers? Good thought though. One time someone put extra money in my parking meter just as my time was about to end and the meter maid was coming. I definately appreciated it!

picking your naighbours flowers weights up with giving them to a strainger so you didn't do nothing.
try to act polite and help people in general and don't be proud of it afterwards.
