They are pregnant for 58-63 days. Then it can take 1 hour or many hours to deliver them all. It depends on the breed and the amount of puppies and the condition of the female to begin with.

63 days or somewhere close to that, plus or minus for the length of the pregnancy, then labor can last from a few hours, to about 24 hours from early labor until final pup is born. Pups should come about 30 min- 2 hr apart. If there are several pups, of course the labor will last a lot longer,.

The gestation period is about 63 days, more or less. I have a collie who recently had a litter, she whelped right on the 63rd day. In the last few days of pregnancy, you should be taking her temperature at least once a day, and when her temp. drops to 99 degrees or below, she should whelp within 24 hours.

If the female has not had a pup in 2 hours, but is still straining to have one, the pup might be too large for her to have it. Put any already born pups on a heating pad. They can't regulate their own body heat for a few days. Take the mom to the vet.

About 61 days after conception. It varies w ith the breed. Time of birth also varies and probably takes about three hours on the average.
