you don't need to go on a date with him, because he is already your best friend. the purpose of a date is to get to know someone. so if you're asking how to hook up, here's how: ask him to come over, make him dinner and then pull out some drinks. when you guys are buzzed and feeling good, sit on the couch next to him and start flirting like a teenager. tickle him and stuff like that. see if he does it back and try to take it a step further each time. remember, he's your friend so you have to be subtle so that if he doesn't feel the same way you don't feel uncomfortable. and if something should go wrong, you can always blame it on being drunk.
