everytime i tell someone i have a pitbull they're like don't those things attack ppl? i'm like any dog will attack someone..... my pit has been the sweetest dog in the world she's my teddy bear and i hate it when ppl think i have a dangerous dog

I have one sometimes he frightens me IS your a she...? There are a lot of dogs are dying in Iraq bec of the casualties ofwar no one cares about them. My dog was killed by American soldiers just for the fun of it. .....please ....

i know and it makes me really mad, if they have been treated well and aren't from fighting lines they are great, i trust them just as much as i would trust any other dog but people dont see it that way. another thing that makes me mad is a lab or poodle or some other dog could bite some one and no one ever finds out, but a rottie or pitbull or doberman does and it makes headlines. Grrrrrrrrr. That is the same as racism in humans in my opinion. I think one of the big problems is people say 'Oh, look thats an attack dog, lets get one to protect us incase someone breaks in' and then they neglect training or train him/her as an attack dog. What ppl need 2 understand is if the dog loves you he/she will attack and fight for you, you need to get a dog as a companion not a burgalur alarm or something like that

Ignore those ignorant people. Pit bulls as well as rotties are born with an aggressive gene but that does not mean they will be aggressive. Most of the problems that have occurred are a direct result of the stupid owners who teach them to behave aggressively or abuse them, thus bringing out the aggressive tendencies naturally born to them. The owners are to blame - not the dogs. The owners should be held accountable. I have personal contact with 2 rotties and a pit - all 3 are mushes who just want love and attention and can't get enough.

Yes they are given bad reps. I have two 6 week old pit puppies now I also have a 3 year old pit and I had a 2 year old pit until she died four weeks ago after giving birth to her puppies and all my friends have pits they truly are the sweetest dog you will ever meet and I will tell that to anybody.

Yup. And it's not fair! I have an american bull dog n everyone thinks he's a pit. He's the most loving dog and excellent with kids. Any dog can be mean and dangerous if the owner makes him that way. Only owners make mean dogs. That just sux.!

For all those who think they should be killed because they are pit bulls. It happens everyday, They starve, hung, set on fire. They are put in pits to be killed by other dogs. It sames funny that people like Micheal J Fox, Brad Pitt, Alicia Silverstone, Thomas Edison. President Wilson and Teddy Roosevelt, Steve Erwin and Linda Blair. Yes they do. Most people don't even know what a pit looks like so if its a large mean dog it as to be a pit bull. Don't beleive me go to this site and find the pit.

i knew a pit bull that was really sweet and it was my best friend. i loved that dog. then it killed my cat. now it can go to hell for all i care. i was only ten and it killed my cat right in front of me while i tried to get the cat away. so pit bulls have a bad rep with me. just keep your precious doggie away from cats and babies. PLEASE!!!!! even the best dog can go bad. the way babies move and make noise it reminds dogs of their prey in the wilderness. pit bulls are more likely to act on instinct than other dogs. so keep your dog away from babies and kitties or you could have a problem on your hands. or a very hurt baby or cat. or worse...

yes , i think they can be sweet loving dogs but there are horrible people who do very bad things to this breed and that is all anybody ever hears about, i feel bad for this breed, but i would not trust this breed around another animal that it did not know only because all terriers big and small are as a norm not great with other animals, i had a female once and she was just silliest dog

Of course they do! It's not the dog, or the breed that is bad... it's the stupid people who own them and do not train them properly, or let them run out on the streets. It's the people who need to get their sh-- together. They get a dog and take No responsibility for it. When the poor dog does, what untrained dogs do, they are put to sleep. It aint right. Put that stupid shi** head in jail instead!!!

omg yes. I have two pits and they are the sweetest dogs. They love people and playing. They even let people in the house they don't know.
