Cats show their owners that they need professional attention by urinating and defecating outside the litter box. He's crying because he's in pain and he needs to see the vet right away before it gets worse and he suffers needlessly.

Indoor man cats regardless if they are fixed or not are more susceptible to urinary track infections. I strongly urge you to take him to the vet for a thorough exam and medications. You may be wise to buy dry cat food that is specifically targeted towards male cats that are indoors and have or had a urinary track infection this may cut down on your vet bills. Good luck! Animals are the best friends a human can have.

He may have an internal infection. The reason he is doing his business on the floor is so that you will know that something is wrong. He is trying to tell you that he is sick.I suggest taking him to the vet and let the doc have a look at him.Good luck!

if it is a male it is highly likely that it is a uti, if you cant get to the vet tonight make sure he drinks water, and don't fuss at him he can not help it he hurts!
After going to the doctor you will switch him to a los phosfer food and make sure he has fresh water all the time.

my cat did this when he was mad...sometimes it was when I didn't give him enough attention.. i.e. travelled alot however cats are insanely clean creatures if you do not clean their litter box enough then they rebel and "go" wherever they please..best thing, ask the vet but keep the box clean otherwise they'll find another territory to "mark" namely your living room, bedroom etc...

He needs to go to the vet. Sounds like he's trying to tell you something's wrong, and probably related to eliminating. Since he's crying AND going where he shouldn't, that's a sure sign. Please take him in ASAP.
