I have this, I've always been lead to believe that it is left over from the days of evolution from Apes. Apparently at this time there were too species of man one had a larger second toe to his Big one. So having a larger second toe is inherited from our ancient ancestors. Oh and by the way, they were the more advanced subhuman monkeys! Neh! =P

don't know, but my 2nd toe is bigger. I'm sure it is the same reason some people have long toes and some have short. genetics

I don't know. My second toe is longer. I read somewhere that people who have a longer second toe are meaner than people whose big toe is longest. Don't know if that's true, I can be mean at times, but I think overall I'm pretty nice.

Even worse when the 2nd toe on one foot is longer then the 1st, but on the other foot it is shorter.
