since they display those horrible images of bleeding Christs or other martyrs? Should kids be not allowed into these gross and gruesome places? BEsides, they're spooky!!

Just remember what Christ did for you, should that be rated R or PG?
If you have to give a classification to what is displayed, you better start by getting rid of all your clothing catalogs.
The Catholic Church displays these images to remind us exactly what Christ did for us. Not just adults.

It is a little scary the tortures that Jesus and some of the saints went through.
But I think Catholic Churches are a lot less scary and violent than most Saturday morning cartoons or the evening news.
Catholic Churches are a lot better teaching about Jesus, faith, hope, and love.

Why is it you feel the need to cut up another religion?
Every question you ask on here has to do with other people's beliefs.
Do you have so little beliefs of your own?
Insecurities?
The only reason you come down on others is because you are lacking confidence and security in your own athiest beliefs.
Keep to yourself...just as you want the so called 'bible thumpers' to do.
And btw...on that bible thumping thing...Catholics do not try to pull other people into their religion. Learn more about what your talking about before you throw your crap around.

I never thought about it before do other churches display Jesus on the cross. Now that I think about it yes I don't see Jesus on the cross at Non-Catholic churches that i visited.
If you explain to Children that it is a representation of Jesus at his crucifiction PG would be fine.

PG, given the purpose of religion, parents can explain the graphic nature of the symbols used in the church and ensure children are not exposed to materials and concepts they are not mature enough to handle.
