...without 'playing the game'. Is it possible for a genuine nice guy (such as myself and many others) get a girl to become interested without sucoming to being a player?

I'm not refering to a specific girl. I've just run into a cycle of becoming friends with girls and having it get stuck there. Is there an age where girls appreciate a nice guy over the jerks?

Just ask her out. Making a move and showing that you're interested doesn't make you a "player." Quit worrying about it so much, get out of your comfort zone, and just DATE.

Kind of interested in this myself. I always start off nice, but when I go on to ask them out, I just get rejected, sometimes even leads to loss of the friendship, leaving me regretting I ever asked.

Then girls give me some smart *** comment like "Awww, you are such a nice guy, I'm sure one day you will find a really great girl"

lots of women meet nice guys online, chat for a while, and before meeting them in person. I think those dating websites are very useful if you're looking for a genuine relationship instead of going out in a club or bar and "playing the game".
From experience, players don't waste time talking about things that women are interested, instead they go straight to the point. Another thing is that players are always looking at the women's body instead of her eyes, and to me that's a turn off.

Be straight with her. Tell her how you feel. Women love confidence in a man. Otherwise, give her some compliments.
