I lived there before as a Canadian. So, the question I have is why would anyone want to?

If you do want to, try the French Consulate website. I am sure it is easy to find online.

Don't bathe for a month, train yourself to be exceptionally rude, and get used to bumping into Muslims, like you were bumping into Mexicans in the US
