Obviously, personality. You can have the most beautiful woman on earth, but if you hate her personality, it won't last.

Most relationships start off with physical attraction, so you gotta have some of that to start anything, but it doesn't last if it's just lust. To keep a relationship going you've got to actually enjoy and look forward to being with the other person, and that's where personality comes in, or rather compatibility, as what one person thinks is a great personality, another would think is a turn-off.
In all long-term relationships, both people grow and change, and the only way for the relationship to survive is for both people to keep working at it and want to keep going. I think that knowing someone loves you & you love them is way more important in keeping a relationship going than either physical attraction or personality. Having said that, personality is usually what makes you continue loving that person (and occassionally want to strangle them too!).
So my vote is for personality. Sorry for the long winded digression.

Personality, honestly because in the long run looks can fade. Even if they don't change, if a person has a nasty or sour personality, they will irritate you so badly that you can't continue being miserable. You will live in denial and try to let the pa make you want to keep being with the person, but it will get to the point when you just can't lie to yourself anymore. If you don't have anything in common with the person, that is going to be a major problem. You want someone you can talk to and connect with, almost like a friendship and relationship combined into one. You don't want to be with someone who only looks good, you will want more from them and once you see that you guys aren't going to go anywhere, be true to yourself and just find someone who is more suitable for you. Sometimes you might be lucky and find the total package, but if you don't, definitely go for personality over looks, because looks won't always bring you happiness.

personality!!!! Looks change in the long run when people get old... but personality never does.
