i disagree, getting caught holds no weight, nothings worth doing something immoral, morals are yours to deal with ,doing that hurts yourself its like being caught before you do it
how valuable are your morals?

This question is kinda silly. The reality is every person has a developed super-ego that is telling right from wrong and everyone naturally chooses the wrong once in a while. Since what is moral is actually subjective, people have to justify their own societal amorality by saying phrases like this, to rationalize what they do. The real moral transgressors, violent criminals etc, either through insanity or trauma, ignore morality altogether.

Question is too vague !! You can only get very vague answers in return. What act ? At least what type of act ? Theft ? Rape ? My answer is this... It is not so much as to whether or not there was a chance to be caught. It is more whether or not I could live with myself afterwards. If I found a bag with 10,000 dollars in it and no one came forward to claim is one thing but totally another an act of which I would be ashamed of myself, even if not caught... !!!

As long as it didn't hurt anyone else, I just might.
As a for instance, a friend of mine was once left alone for a moment in the personnel office with his own file lying on the desk. He knew he'd gotten an unfavorable evaluation once--and only once--from a crummy supervisor, and without thinking twice, he swiped it from the folder.
This didn't hurt anybody else at all and was clearly, in my opinion, the best thing to do. . . if a bit "morally questionable."

Hmm. Hard to say. It depends on how morally wrong it was.
For example, I intentionally ran a red light last night. I know it was against the law, but the light held me for two cycles without a single green light. There was no other traffic and I did a through scan for cops.

No, because; you still have to look at yourself in the mirror.
It's as simple as that... the question is not whether you thought that you would not get caught...jails are full of people who think like this it's whether or not you have the moral fiber to know if something is right or wrong.

If you allow me to define morals personally, by my own belief in what's right and wrong, then no, I wouldn't. If morals are those 'commonly accepted by society', then yes I would. I follow only the beat of my own heart and what I think is right and wrong. I believe I have a better sens of what's right and wrong than society at large does.
Peace.

I can get away with a lot of morally questionable things but I would have to live with myself if I ever did any of these things. I don't have my morals for other people.

I disagree with this statement. Being part of a society requires you to be decent to others even when nobody is watching. Remove that rule and society crumbles.

Disagree. My morals will not cease questioning me... its more trouble having to explain things to your own self rather than to others.
