Im trying to copy a dvd and then burn a copy onto a blank dvdr. I have downloaded a dvd decrypter, nero and dvd shrink but i cant get it to copy. the dvd plays fine in my dvd player and on my pc but when i copy it gets stuck at a certain bit and gives read errors. The disk looks clean and i dont see any deep scratches on it. does anyone know what i can do to fix this as its driving me mental lol

First start with DVD Decrypter, because if the disc gives you read errors at this point, it's probably either too scratched/scuffed to copy or has a new copy protection scheme.

Usually, if a DVD movie works with DVD decryper and gives no read errors, you should be able to burn the disc without a hitch.

If the disc completes in DVD Decrypter, then open the files in DVD shrink and it should work.

Just run dvd shrink on with the dvd.

Haven't done it for a while but set it to shrink to a file on the hard drive - Make sure it shrinks to 4.7 (Again I think there may be a an auto setting which reduces the quality to suit the size.

Then burn that file with nero.

Good luck

decode it with dvd encrypter you can also burn it to disk using the same programme the main reason for read errors is the read speed try using a slower setting this helps when copying xboxgames too you can also try using nero recode on nero 7 either works ok for me

some movies have 2 types of encryption on them. Try a different Decrypter program. That worked for me. Dvd fab is the one i use when i have problems.
