Being saved means that you accepted the love of Jesus into your heart, you believe he died for your sins and and died and rose again. it means that you are spiritually covered with the blood of Jesus. When God looks at you he doesn't see your sin he sees his son's blood. Being baptized is just an outward expression of an inward belief. you get baptized to show the world that you love Christ.

being saved means.. to be saved from a sinful life.. If you believe in Jesus Christ and ask him into your heart.. you can be saved from your sins.. it is that easy.. Please read John 3:16 in the Bible for more on this.. also.. being baptized means that you are following the steps that Jesus took in life.. it is just a way to show publicly that you have asked Jesus into your heart.. sort of like.. when you get a wedding ring then that just shows that you are married... but that alone does not make you married.. you have to go through the actually process to be married.. hope this helps.. :)

Well most have come close to what salvation is. Baptism is the outward expression of salvation. The belief that Jesus is the Messiah and Lord of our life and our King is all pat of being born-again. The most important of all though is the confessing that you are a sinner and need to have help from the promised Messiah to be able to live forever in God's Kingdom with him. John 3:16 explains it best of all. Then Ephesians 2:8 and a few more verses from that point on tells us we can not save ourselves by our works. We can do good works but that will not earn us a place with God. God loves his creation and wants to save it. That includes you and I and the rest of the whole world. But we must after all accept Jesus as the Messiah the lamb of God who takes away the sinn of the whole world through belief in Him.

There's a lot more to this issue than you are probably aware. For the Bible-Based answer, I suggest that you read:
How Can I Be Saved? :
...Have You Been Saved?
...What Must We Do to Be Saved? http://www.watchtower.org/library/w/1996/2/1/have_you_been_saved.htm

I also encourage you to check out the Scriptures that are referred to. It's very important that you get God's thoughts on the subject, not man's theories. Manmade religions -- many that claim to be Christian -- are chock full of theories that don't hold water.

Whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. By confession that Jesus Christ is one's Lord & Savior & believing in their heart that He died on the cross of one's sins & rose from the dead for one's justification.

One has to recognize He/She is a sinner & confess it & realize He/She needs a Savior. God gives person a new spirit. The old man is gone & the new person in Christ is. Water baptism represents that. That person in now a child of God, & can go to God in the name of Jesus 24/7. God gives a comforter to be with you forever and will be in You. The Spirit of Truth is not a liar & leads You in all truth. This is wisdom above our teachers. Jesus said, "If you seek me you will find me."

Getting saved is being reconciled to God through Jesus Christ and what He did for us on the cross. He paid the price for our sin. He is the Lamb without blemish.

SOMEWHAT, when you get SAVED, your Spirit(the REAL you) is RECREATED, and then the HOLY SPIRIT comes and LIVES(baptised) in you. Spiritual beings can do this, it can't be done in the PHYSICAL REALM. All Children of GOD have been BAPTISED in the HOLY SPIRIT (SAVED) they just haven't ASKED GOD to fill them yet, and most of them who have asked GOD to fill them with the HOLY SPIRIT, don't realize it and don't know that GOD filled them when they asked----because they are still waiting on "FEELING some FEELINGS" instead of getting out of the BOAT and walking on the water, by FAITH.. You are a Spirit, you live in a Body and you have a SOUL. To get saved, means to ask JESUS to come into your HEART(Spiritman) and SAVE (recreate you, a Spiritman) you. Do it, you will not REGRET IT!!!!!----and Have a GOOD Day!!!!!!

To be saved....

It means to accept Jesus Christ because the Bible tells us that there is no way to the Father but through him. To accept and testify that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, and to be immersed for the forgiveness of sins through baptism.
