Muscle weighs more than fat does. As you have been lifting those weights you are burning the fat but replacing it with heavier muscle. If you really want to get back to 200 lbs. then I suggest some cardio workouts. Don't just hop on the treadmill first though, there are some mental aspects to running outside that you just can't get on that treadmill. I suggest going to a park and running a few miles at a decent pace. I know that when I run I prefer to get out on some trails nearby instead of hitting the track or a treadmill, it might just be because I love cross country so much. I also put it out there that, depending on your age, 208 for a 6'1'' is actually a good wieght to be at.

I'm not an expert fitness person or anything, but they say if you work out too much it could actually make you gain weight. I've had that problem to and I've found that if you work out, and by working out I mean cardio (not lifting) and you do it 3 times a week for 30-45 mins each time it helps. But if all you're doing is lifting, then you are actually gaining muscle. And muscle weighs more than fat so you probably won't lose weight but you will tone up. If that doesn't work, try a diet pill called Phentermine. It's awesome and it actually works. You can go to Dietpills.com and read the reviews. It's amazing. Good Luck to ya.

Well I can tell you flip at one point I had exactly the same problem. Same height, same weight. The only way to lose fat is to do cardiovascular exercise and eat right. Lifting will help but it won't burn a ton of visible fat. Running and swimming are the most effective, but running is also one of the hardest. Your food intake makes a big difference also. Of course what you eat is important, but when you eat plays a big factor also. First, eat breakfast. Always. Even if you have a less healthy breakfast, it starts your metabolism up early. Secondly, eat constantly. The best way to lose weight is, for example, eating 6 smaller meals a day. Again, if you stomach is always working, you are always losing weight. Finally. DO NOT eat at nighttime. This is SO bad for you. Anything you eat 2 hours or so before bed stays in your body stored as extra weight. If you really wanted to test it, take what you usually eat at night, and instead eat it first thing in the morning. I promise you this works. Well. Good luck!

There is a fantastic book called "8 Minutes in the Morning" by Jorge Cruise. The goal is slow, steady, healthy weight loss, at approximately 2 pounds per week. Though the focus is primarily on specific exercises to be done in the morning (hence the title), there is a lot of information on exactly what the various food groups (carbohydratess, protein, vitamins, etc) do for your body, and some guidelines for sensible healthy eating as well. Not only has it worked for me, several people have borrowed the book from me and they all achieved good results.

If your goal is weight loss, stop lifting. You're building muscle mass that actually is making you heavier, even though you are also burning some fat.
Cardio, my friend. That's right, put on some pink leg warmers and "Sweat to the Oldies" with Richard Simmons.

if you're trim, lifting will increase your weight since muscle weighs more than fat. If you still have some fat on you, either run a lot with your lifting or change your diet.
