Yes. There are pain medications made just for dogs such as Metacam, Etogesic, Deramaxx and Rimadyl. Like medications for humans, they do have side effects. Must be carefull on dosage. Only give to pet if under supervision of a vet. Human pain releivers can be toxic to dogs.

You should ask your vet about this in regards to your specific pet. There may be conditions that render even aspirin as dangerous. While there are many types of pain relievers that people might recommend, always check with your own vet to get a correct dose for your dog. Also, please let them know what the pain is from, as they may have other suggestions. Do not just give any medication without as least asking your vet.

Yes it is okay. I was informed by my vet that 1/2 of a baby aspirin is good enough to help relieve pain for dogs. But you should only give them the baby aspirin as needed. And always check with your vet before you give a pain reliever to any animals.

I'd consult a vet before giving your dog any kind of pain medication.

I have a siamese cat. My vet says that we can give our medicine, her body will react as human's. I don't really know what is happenig to dogs. Get your vet's advice better. He 's the expert, he knows better what is the best for your dog.

My friend is a vet tech and she gives her dog baby aspirin. But I would ask your vet first to make sure.

my vet recommended the buffered coated low-strength aspirin for my (now deceased) dog. it is available in 81 mg sizes at most OTC pharmacies.

no, the dog did not die of aspirin poisoning.

double-check with your vet's office, is my suggestion.
