Babies have to be rear facing until they are 20 pounds and 1 year of age. After that they should be in a forward facing car seat until at least 30 pounds. After that they have to be in a booster seat until they are 4'9" and 80 pounds, and they should also always be seated in the back until they reach the same height and weight. A baby seat shouldn't be in a pick-up truck unless there is a full back seat, the jump seats aren't safe for baby seats, and the front seat isn't safe either because of air bags. Hope I helped. A good idea is to contact your local police, they will be able to tell you where to go to make sure your baby seats are installed correctly and in the right place within the car. Some police departments even have police officer who has the training for this.

Infants must ride in a rear facing car seat until they are 20lbs and 1 year old. After a year, toddlers are forward facing until 40 lbs. At 40 lbs, you can use the booster seat. Children should be in the back seat until they are 12. I am not sure about riding in a pick up truck, I am sure it is doable.

Convertable carseats do no longer artwork in the strollers, atleast none that I even have seen. yet i hit upon that i like the convertable carseat greater useful because of the fact i'm getting greater use out of it for the money. With the toddler seat my boys have been attending to special earlier they have been even 9 months old so i nonetheless had to purchase the convertable carseat then turn around and purchase a front dealing with carseat with a harness that still works as a booster seat whilst they have been 2 one million/2 years old. So i purely might particularly purchase 2 carseats instead of three plus i on no account cherished having to get rid of the toddler seat anyhow so i on no account linked it to the stroller or something.

I believe they can as long as when they are infants they are in a rear facing carseat and the airbag is turned off (or there is no airbag) for the passanger side. My son is 45 LBS and he rides in my boyfriend's truck in a boosterseat on the passanger side and there is no airbag. If possible we take my truck though because it's got the exteded cab so he can ride in the back since that is the safest place for children.

Varies from state to state...

It would be best if you contact your police department or state patrol. They'll be able to give you the exact information for your state.

NEVER PUT YOUR CHILD IN THE FRONT SEAT... EVER!!!!
