It would help if church's were more inviting.. ie: friendly.. more accepting.. people come to church because they need some spiritual guidance.. but some Church's now days want the beautiful people.. they want the rich.. the well dressed.. the perfect people.. not the ones who really need to be in church... I am not saying you have to agree with different lifestyles.. but I would say.. hate the SIN.. love the People... Jesus went among the worst of the worst to take his message.. when people are in Church then they will change to be more like the Church.. but they have to have the chance to get their foot in the door.. If you know what I mean.. Good Luck.. :)

I left the church I attended over 40 years because of the new praise and worship leader. We had choir practice on Saturdays for about an hour, she then changed it to 8 hours !
She got her friends to play in the band, but they were out playing in clubs on the weekends, come Sunday morning they were praising God !
So many people left the church because of her and the pastor don't see that. Why ? It's his sister-in-law.
I was the sound tech. there until I missed two Sundays for family reasons. When I came back she had a 13 year old kid there and he had no clue how to work the sound system. She told me since I missed those two day's I was no longer needed.
I got to be a real jerk when they started to have major problems with the sound system, all of a suddent I forgot how to to work the system ( lol )
She had a back up singer that was having an affair with other church members.
My chances of ever going back to that church is when hell freezes.
My spiritual life is not as it should be,but I will go back to a church that is close by.
I am not looking for the perfect church because there is none !
I visited the church on Mothers Day.The pastor and his wife walked right passed me,and not even a wave from them

I am a Christian and I lead a good life. I don't, however, go to church and never will. In my experience, there are a lot of hypocrites that attend services thinking that the act of going to church will make them better people. I don't think that I need to prove my faith to anyone other than God, and I don't need to sit in church to do that.

I would prefer to go to church if they held services after 6pm, served alcohol, removed all religious artifacts and bibles, put in a dance floor, had a poker room, and stopped talking about mythology. Some strippers might add that little something extra as well.

compassion. A church that is about reaching out to other people, not just about themselves like most Christians are today.

Brass pole. 2 brass poles. 2 twenty-foot tall brass poles that come down through holes in the ceiling onto a mirrored stage with rowdy naked girls having naked drunken pillow fights naked. All day. I could tithe for that.

No organization attracts me. Nor could they. My faith is in Jesus Christ not an organization/or denomination.
