Depends on how nice of a lady you want to find, your on the right track not looking in pubs and clubs. You might try a church and be able to meet someone there that is nice or lost their spouse.
You might find someone thru a mutual friend.
You never know where you might meet someone just by starting a good conversation.
Good luck in your quest for the right LADY

i would say stop thinking about it too much - if you're going out there wanting and expecting to meet your just gonna end up disappointed.
go out, relax, maybe take up some new hobbies and once your happy enough with yourself i'm sure you'll meet someone - gah i sound like a f*cking chat show host
nah but seriously, there's more out there than being in a relationship - they can bring their own problems - and its not worth regretting the last 5 years of your life (or any more) just because you don't have a partner.

I too, have been single for six years like you it makes life easier.,
However, times do turn into solitude and wish you had someone to talk to. You begin to miss having someone special.
Any way to your question. Start going to your local church on Sundays and visit your local grocery store and keep an eye out for men who shop alone ( as I ),
Begin to look at mens ring finger, if they look single compliment something about their facial features., eyes, hair, nose . Men believe their face turns women into thinking that their machismo
looks is what women can't refuse.
I'm 50 and i can tell you that guys like us often visit local restaurants,(usually having coffee). social events, but mostly and for sure at friends gatherings. If I'd happen to at one and you were there I'd compliment you on beign a snowflake, for every
snowflake has a singular pattern.
Lots of luck, wish you were over here. (rag6of8@yahoo)

Get a good friend to fix you up on a blind date. I have had a couple in the past and one of the girls was really nice.
Another way is salsa dancing or singles night sin bars in your local area

online dating really is a good way to meet but a shame you've dismissed it. I think you've got to be ok on your own first and then the right person will show up. join a society that has an interest you share and go the gym.

I heard the laundromat and the supermarket are great places. How about book stores like Barnes & Nobles where they have a coffee shop as well.
