are there any 'pastel' colored dye to tie dye with?

if not is it possible to make some? I'm looking for dyes that are softer and paler..

Yes, there are pastel dyes -- if you have trouble finding them, you can always use a regular dye but use much less of it, so it becomes more of a tint and less of a dye.

Water the regular kind down by about half. It will be that color but lighter.
