It is safe to say the Koran does not define Allah because everyone in the region would have already known what it means.

Al-Hayy

"He is Allah, the Creator, the Originator, The Fashioner, to Him belong the most beautiful names: whatever is in the heavens and on earth, do declare His praises and glory. And He is the Exalted in Might, The Wise. (Quran 59:24)

Allah! the Everlasting, the Supporter of the whole universe; there is no god but He(*) He does neither slumber nor sleep(*) Whatsoever is in the heavens and in the earth is His.(*)
Who is there that can intercede with Him except by His own permission?(*)

He alone is the Supreme and the Exalted.(*)
Quran..Surat baqara..vers 255 (ayat Kursi)The THRONE

Well if not, then isn't there a possibility that Allah is a name of the Satan or Devil, who tempted the insane Mohammad to write a book called Quran which has cause enough misery already. No wonder today we are faced with hell.
