I know I shouldn't answer, as I'm not a parent or a Christian. But I can't believe anyone could disown their kids for ANYTHING that makes them happy and doesn't hurt anyone else.
I've chosen not to have children, for my own reasons. But some of the answers I see to this question make me wonder if my personality may not be so off to be a parent...

never, God, the greatest Father of all, who sees all sin equally, and whos mercy and forgiveness endures is our role model and mentor.
i know homosexuals that have chosen to walk in line with the word of God, and are living a very content and peaceful life, some alone, some hetero, it can be and is done.
i would continue to hold my child up in prayer with hope, but always continue to love and "own" them regardless.
BTW.. i know the scripture ( Romans 1: 24-27) mentioned below by the misguided answerer mentions ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about DISOWNING your child for homosexuality, it does not condone the act, and states that it will be addressed, so to speak, however says NOTHING about GOD "disowning" His children! bullcookies!!

I would not disown my child for any reason. I love them all. But I would be very disappointed in their choice of lifestyle. Homosexuality is like anything else, if my daughter told me she was pregnant at 15, I would not disonw her either- again just very disappointed in her choices.

That is horrible. People saying yes! OMG! Those people are horrible. I am glad they arent my parents. There is nothing wrong with being homosexual...STOP BEING SO SCARED PEOPLE! Not everyone in the world is going to turn gay in the future and stop the exsistance of human beings, for christ's sake we have an overpopulation problem already.

No. Would I try to understand? Yes. Would I attempt to help them overcome that? Without doubt. Would I still love them no matter what? How could I not? Would I approve? No. Condoning and loving are two separate things. My oldest son got in trouble and turned away from our family values for nearly 8 years. Did I approve of or condone his behavior? No, nor did others. Did I condemn him? Absolutely not. Did I hurt? Of course. Did I ever stop loving him? NO. Period. How could I ever NOT love my child?

yes, I would disown them because in the bible, Rom.1:24-27 says that god disown them, also in Jude7 it explains about Sodom and Gomorrah and how they were destroyed for what they were doing.

I am not Christian but homosexuality is not a choice so all they can do is deny it which is not good and besides dosent your bible say we are all sinners and judge not lest you be judged? Blessed be.

Love is unconditional he/she is still my child so rejecting them is out of the question. I would ask about his/her lifestyle to find the root of it and work with him/her in love.
