An alcoholic is someone who drinks to the point that it becomes the center of their lives. They forget about all things such as family and work. It is usually on a daily basis. They feel that they need it. They become consumed in it. HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!!

somebody that has more than 14 drinks in a week or exceed more than 3 drinks a day consistently. single drink being 1/2 ounce of alcohol. so that is 12ounces of beer at 4 % wine 4 ounces at 12% and 1ounce of hard liquor.
In my opinion, you probably are a great canadiate for alcoholism.

Someone who relies on alcohol to get them through everyday life. So much so that it interfers with daily life

you can consider yourself an alcoholic if, you cannot control yourself in having drinks, you do not know when to stop. when you feel you need a drink to take courage, to calm your nerves, when drinks control your all you.
