Sorry, I am not sexist. I personally think that both are very capable. I was just looking for opinions, and nothing more.

I don't think gender matters as much as knowledge and bedside manner. I have seen great male and female doctors. I have also seen and will never see again some male and female doctors. My primary care doctor is great and is female. My ENT is great and a male.

Males can come in handy in critical situations but women make the best all-around doctors because they generally have more of an understanding for things people go through but of course it could all depend on the person. I pretty much follow these guidelines since I'm a guy and I come in handy in critical times but of course women do have a better memory than guys in general but there are those girls who don't want to use any memory at all unfortunately but I won't get into that.

Gyno's, I would say women. But for every other kind of doctor, it depends on the person, not the gender. Although, some people might be more comfortable with a man than a woman, or vice versa, but that is your comfort level - it has nothing to do with your doctor's competence.

Is based on the person not the gender. Neither. Historically in this country doctors have been men. Now that is changed and I think there are equal numbers of women in medical school.
Neither is better or worse.

I have never had a woman doctor, but I think that they are both equally capable. I think that women would make better gynecologists however, since they know what it is like to be a woman. I am currently thinking about switching to a woman OB/GYN.

I think it depends on the kind of doctor they become. For instance I would rather have an OBGYN that is a woman because she knows what everything down in that region is suppose to look and feel like where as a male doctor would have no clue.

I dont think gender makes a difference! What makes the difference is how the doctor treats his/her clients.... which doctor will go into the field for the love of medicine and helping people and those who go into the profession for the money!

Without a doubt, Women!
They spend almost twice as much time with a patient. They are more careful (girls, you know what I mean!) and all of the ones that I have made appointments with (for me & the kids) have been less likely to overbook patients

don't think gender plays a role in it at all. mostly is knowledge, compassion, availability. seems like a lot of women patients prefer women doctors anymore, but men like them too. btw i'm a female physician assistant!

Men, no question about it, did you ever see a good woman doctor ??? They are usually to busy going to the gynecologist themselves then to help anybody, or doing their hair or nails or some shiit
