It works...but I didn't actually use lemon juice. I bought this spray that has lemon juice in it...called sun in or something, and you put it in your hair and you can either blow dry it, or just go out in the sun...and within a few days, your hair is lighter...

I tried it years ago. I have dark brown hair and it turned more of a reddish/orangy color. It was ugly!!!! The summer sun and chlorine is naturally going to lighten it. Conditioning the ends of your hair is pretty important during the summer. Try either hydrogen peroxide, corona beer, rhubarb juice or chamomile tea put it in a spray bottle, soak your hair real good the lay out in the sun. . Just do that till you get the right color. You can just put it on certain areas or strands if you don't want the whole head lightened. Do not use vinegar or lemon juice as it will really break you hair. The tea doesn't get real light, it's more light brown. If you want to play around with different colors, try Koolaid but warning it easily. Jello is better and more temporary. "JUST REMEMBER CONDITION, CONDITION, CONDITION THOSE TIPS" avoid the roots if your hair is oily.

Yeah, it works too. Just put lemon juice in your hair and go chill in the sun for an hour or two. It's the "natural" way to lighten your hair.

Yes, my hair is dark brown. Wash your hair first and then squeeze the lemon juice into a cup. You are best to comb it through your hair. Go out in the sun. If you can get a spray bottle, keep spraying it as it drys. It looks like highlites.

Oh my GOD, that is so bad for your hair. Two of my sisters did it and it frizzed their hair out pretty bad. It's okay if you don't mind spending a little extra time conditioning your hair every day, I mean - it does lighten your hair if you get in the sun, but maybe you should just get it lightened like everyone else - at a beauty salon.

lemon juice will lighten your hair yet you will desire to bypass interior the sunlight. It particularly basically enables the sunlight lighten it. Peroxide such as you purchase on the drugstore will lighten your hair without going outdoors. a sprint in some water in a twig bottle and basically mist your hair and gradually you will see a metamorphosis...and that i advise days no longer minutes or hours, lol.

I tried this, and my sister tried Sun-In, which has lemon juice in it, and it was disastrous for both of us. We have reddish tints to our hair, and all it did was make our hair orange. It works if you have straight brown hair or blondish hair, but otherwise I would be careful!

this only works for light colourd hair only, from your avatar i can see that you are dark like me. lemon juice wont work (lord knows i've tried!). if you want to go blond, do it professionally. my hair goes an awful straw colour so mines better black. remember blonds dont have ALL the fun. dark hair looks lovely with a tan too.
