That sounds really creative. I should try that out for a party or something. Pickles are basically cucumbers submerged in marinade. Any kind works. I say it's cheaper to buy pickles than to make your own.

No I haven't. And pickles are made from cucumbers and vinegar and other preservatives. You can actually make your own by cutting up cucumbers and leaving them in vinegar for a couple of days. If you want dill pickles, you probably can buy dill seasoning and add to it.

No, I have never eaten pickle in ham off the bone, but pickles are made from cucumbers sliced and put in brine( salty flavored water.) Food network.com would have the full recipe.

You know what else is delicious?
Add a little cream cheese to that mixture. Like, hollow out the seeds from the pickle, fill with sour cream and then wrap in ham. (Lunch meat works well, too) DELICIOUS.
And... for something a little more substantial, layer all of that on a tortilla and roll it up for a tortilla wrap.

I love the "pickle wrap". Pickles are made with cucumbers and a vinegar solution.
