you have to go into limewire's preferences and there is a tickbox you have to uncheck so it doesn't start with windows.

Hi,
Applicable if your Operating System is Windows 98/ Windows XP:
Click on Start Button - Click on Run - Type msconfig and click Ok.
You will get the box popping up 'System Configuration Utility'
Go to the 'Start Up' Tab and you will find the list of items that will start when you boot your computer.
Look for LimeWire and uncheck it.
Click Apply and click Close / Ok - It will ask you to restart your computer - Restart it.

from options search and uncheck to "start when log into PC" not case sensitive, i don't know exactly.
